ILA LOCAL 1475 – IMPORTANT TRAFFIC PATTERN UPDATE

Please be advised that the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) has updated the timeline for the new traffic pattern changes surrounding the Garden City Terminal.
The traffic changeover is now scheduled for Wednesday, July 15. The exact time has not yet been announced but is expected to occur sometime around midday.
Beginning Wednesday (Midday), July 15 – Phase 1 Traffic Changes
The following traffic changes will take effect:
- Brampton Road will be closed at Main Street (State Route 25).
- Burnsed Boulevard and the new Brampton Road Connector will become the primary route into the Garden City Terminal area.
- ILA drivers traveling to TICO Lot 1 will now access the lot using the new Brampton Road Connector.
- Access to Gate 1 will remain the same during this phase.
Beginning August 10 – Gate 1 Access Change
Beginning August 10, access to Gate 1 is scheduled to move to the new Brampton Road Connector.
Until that date, all members should continue using the current route to access Gate 1. Additional information will be provided before this transition takes place.
Safety Reminder
Please remember that there is NO RIGHT TURN ON RED ARROW at Burnsed Boulevard for traffic exiting I-516 at Exit 8. Law enforcement will be monitoring the intersection, and drivers can be cited for violating this traffic signal.
As these new traffic patterns are implemented, please:
- Allow extra travel time when reporting to work.
- Follow all posted traffic signs and signals.
- Drive safely and remain alert while navigating the new routes.
